Golden milk

There is nothing worse than getting sick, especially when you are the engine to the machine of your home. But thanks to Mother Nature her medicine is always readily avaliable to us if we just listen. One of my favorite Go-tos during the colder months is the Golden Milk. I enjoy it “Dirty Hippie style” with some espresso or just the good ol’ fashion way. It really doesn’t matter how you enjoy this drink, the benefits are what matters.

Benefits:

  • Brain protector

  • Promotes reduction of fat cells

  • Anti-inflammatory

  • Improves digestion


Ingredients

  • 1/2 tsp Ginger Powder

  • 1 1/4 cup of Pea Milk

  • 1/2 tsp Maple Syrup or Spiced Honey

  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp Tureric Powder

  • 2 shots of espresso (optional)


INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Simmer the milk in a small a sause pan.

  • Add all ingredients into pan (except espresso)

  • Continue to stir until fully mixed. (Do not let forget to stir while simmering)

  • Pour into mug.

  • Add Espresso if you like.

  • Enjoy while its nice and hot.
