Flower power

It’s finally a time where we can act like we are in the 70s again. Definitely my favorite era of time from the clothing, to the cool children names like Sunshine Moon, the idea that lounging is more important than showing up to work, and of course the indulgence of that yummy magical herb: Marijuana! Finally the states are realizing all the benefits of smoking the herb, eating the herb, and topical uses of the plant. I’m not going to throw my entire business out in these here streets but I’ll say I’ve been enjoying Mary Jane since I was 16, and now I can finally enjoy it out in the open without being judged because folks are out trying it now.

I completely understand that everyone will not want to try the magical highness of Mary Jane, but I feel that a little aid from Mother Nature is vital to our survival in this strange place we call Earth. So I’ve been making Herbal Pre-rolls that will slightly mimic the effects of Mary Jane. Wondering how? Mother Nature has been providing us with everything we need to heal, cure, treat, and bless our bodies and minds since the beginning of time. It’s man who has taken it all and used it as a weapon of destruction. Everything people use has either been copied from nature or taken directly from nature and abused. Some of the most beautiful plants, affect the brains and mental states of the humans who ingest them. Here’s a few:

  • Opium poppy (Papaver somniferum) - We all know what man has abused this lovely flower: morphine, codeine, and herion.

  • Salvia (Salvia divinorum) - An unassuming member of the mint family. the leaves can be eaten or smoked.

  • Cannabis- the plant is used in religious practices in India and Africa. The active ingredient, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), is present in all parts of both the male and female plants but is most concentrated in the flowering tops of the female.

  • Tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum) - Native to the Americas, the tobacco plant bears distinctive large leaves that are a particularly concentrated source of nicotine. Nicotine is the chief active ingredient in the tobacco used in cigarettes, cigars, junk food, and snuff and is an addictive drug.

  • Coca (ertyhroxylum coca) - Coca is a tropical shrub native to certain regions of Peru, Bolivia, and Ecuador. Its leaves contain the alkaloid cocaine and have been chewed for centuries by the Indians of Peru and Bolivia for pleasure or in order to withstand strenuous working conditions, hunger, and thirst. However, the leaves can also be processed into a potent white crystalline powder that is injected, smoked, or otherwise consumed.

Those are just the most popular ones most folks know, but every plant, herb, and flower has a purpose. They are all here to do a job. Learning how to use the blessings Mother Nature has given us is the important task. I’ve been studying herbalism lately and I’m really enjoying learning how to heal my body, relax my mind, and cure my kids allergies with the help of a simple garden. So what’s in the Pre-rolls, and how do that help?

Currently I’m making two different pre-rolls. One to wake you up, and inspire you to keep moving, where the other is a bit stronger with the help of mushrooms to relax your entire body. So let’s break them down.

Wake Up Goddess (Moon Magic)

  • Lavender - benefits vary for this beautiful plant because she can be used topically or Ingested. But smoking lavender helps with: lessen mensural cramps, menopausal hot flashes, reduces anxiety & stress, and fatigue.

  • Mugwort - Said to open your third eye and spark vivid dreams. Its also helpful in stressful situations by relaxing your musculoskeletal system.

  • Lemon Balm - it’s rich in caffeine & powerful antioxidants. Has major calming affects, and aids in digestion.

  • Peppermint - Increasing alertness & concentration. Opens your head space with a rush of awareness. It also boost energy, and reduces nausea. (Side note most mornings I’m not hungry until I wake up my appetite and peppermint helps even in a tea)

  • Dandelion - stimulate fluid loss after sleeping all night, aids in cleansing the liver, and very high vitamin A content.

I’m keeping Relax Goddess recipe to myself, but it also has huge healing benefits and will take you to the place of magical chill sessions. This blog is in no way trying to promote you to smoke anything. Every herb listed here can be used as a tea, tonic, rub, or tincture. I’m only here to promote using more natural remedies to heal your bodies. Stop running to the store to buy some man made pill or throw a bunch of vitamins in your mouth. When you do that you’re trusting the government with your health. They say it’s a vitamin but can you be sure? Most of these herbs, and plants you can grow yourself and play with the benefits. Not into growing, take some nature walks and keep your eyes peeled for some of these natural psychedelic teachers. Mother Nature makes no mistakes. We must learn to trust her more, value what she gives, and learn the way of the land so we can heal our minds, bodies and spirits. So let’s roll up! Light up! And enjoy the blessings of the universe.
